Here are a few tips and tricks to help shut down the Mosquito factory around your home.     CLEAR OUT: Old tires – Drums – Buckets- Pots as all these can hold water and breed 1,000’s of Mosquitos. DRAINAGE: Keep ditches clear and free flowing so they can dry… soggy ditches can become a breeding ground.. TRASH CANS: Keep them covered and drill drainage holes in the bottom so they can drain if they do get water in them. KIDS TOYS: Keep plastic wading pools empty when not in use. Kids toys can hold enough water to breed mosquitos. BIRD BATHS: Keep them clean and flush them out several times a week or choose a birdbath with a fountain because the sound of dripping water will attract birds that naturally eat mosquitoes. WATERING: Do not over water potted plants and leave them soggy mosquitos can breed in them. GUTTERS: Gutters are a major breeding ground for Mosquitos.
